Work to Residence
This category allows you to get a temporary visa to work in New Zealand as a step towards gaining residence. You need to be either, qualified in a highly specialised or in demand, or have an exceptional talent in sports or the arts field to apply for the work to residence category.
*After two years you will be eligible to apply for permanent residence.To qualify you need one of the following;
- A genuine offer of full-time employment in an occupation on the Long Term Skilled Shortage List. Aged 55 years or younger and hold an appropriate full or provisional registration if required to practice in that occupation.
- A genuine offer of full-time employment from an accredited New Zealand employer with a base salary of at least $55,000 per annum
- Sponsorship from a New Zealand arts, culture or sporting organisation because of your exceptional talent, reputation and ability to contribute to New Zealand’s future
